In situ comparison of real plover eggs (top) with replica handmade eggs (bottom). As the Kentish Plover is a protected species, it is forbidden to disturb its nests. This photo was taken during authorised scientific monitoring.

This photo was taken during a scientific monitoring. The nest was not disturbed specifically for the photo but it was an opportunity to compare my creations with the originals.
