Bird egg replica
I create bird egg replicas, which are especially useful for environmental education projects.
They can be used in exhibitions, information booths, or group activities. The highlight of my work is the Plover egg replicas.
- Each egg is hand-sculpted and hand-painted. Every piece is therefore unique.
- A waterproofing option can be added for better preservation of the eggs and outdoor use.
- I am familiar with certain eggs, having worked with the species that lay them (eggs of the Kentish Plover, tern, oystercatcher, etc.). For some species, it may be necessary to know the average size of the egg and to provide reference photos.
Please note that making the eggs requires several drying stages. These can vary greatly depending on the season and the size of the egg. From the start of production to shipping, a minimum of two weeks of drying time is needed.
It depends on the size. A Kentish Plover egg (about 3 cm tall) costs €11.10. Shipping costs vary depending on the destination country.
